Renegade PR was founded by Lisa Richards in 2006 to provide bespoke PR and promotions for the video game industry and other technology clients.

The agency has a simple philosophy: to not only create awareness, but to drive purchase intent by maximizing consumer engagement with products and technologies.

The directors of the company have over 50 years experience between them as journalists and PRs in the video game, technology and music markets, working on brands as diverse as Star Wars, Ministry of Sound, PC Zone, Call of Duty and Guitar Hero.

Tim Ponting:
Rapidly approaching 25 years in the gaming industry (and old age). Multi-award winning journalist with a 17 year career in music, technology and gaming magazines, from editing ZERO to founding the late, lamented PC Zone, followed by 5 years as European PR Director for Activision where he was responsible for strategy and execution of all PR campaigns across the EMEA region. His achievements include launching the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero brands across the EMEA region for Activision.

He has led operations at Renegade PR since leaving Activision in 2007.

Tom Sargent:
A veteran of nearly 16 years in the videogames industry but not quite as old as Tim. The first 7 years were spent as a journalist, from games editor of Paragon Publishing's Play magazine and features editor of Computec Media's PSW to editor of the Psone’s first weekly games magazine, PlayZone and thereafter many  freelance briefs for high profile media

In 2004 he took the mucky shilling and moved over to PR and has been lucky enough to work on some of the industry’s most ground-breaking games, including all three BioShocks, Batman Arkham Asylum and Guitar Hero and campaigns for some of the industry’s biggest clients, including 2K Games, Square Enix, Activision, Codemasters, and Warner Bros.

Tom has worked with Renegade PR since 2011.

Lina Svanholt-Sims: Over 8 years experience in the video game business, starting with Activision Nordic in 2005, where she was responsible for management of PR campaigns for all titles including Call of Duty, DreamWorks, Guitar Hero, Star Wars and Tony Hawk.

Lina has a degree in Media and Communications and therefore dislikes the term ‘mucky shilling’.

She is an experienced Account Director, most recently embedded with 2K Europe / Irrational Games working on BioShock Infinite.

Lina has worked with Renegade PR since 2007.

Lisa had many years experience in the video game business, from Virgin Interactive, via two boutique PR agencies to founding Renegade PR in 2006. She worked with a wide variety of gaming clients over the years, most notably Activision, LucasArts, Vivendi, Warner Bros. and Disney. She was voted the industry’s best PR by famously acerbic blog RamRaider.
Lisa was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and withdrew from day to day management of the company, passing away in 2012 after a long battle with the disease. The principles she established as founder of the company are still employed today with pride by her team.
